GENERAL CHAIRS

  • Shengxi Zhou, Professor in School of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. He published more than 100 papers with total citations more than 3000, and made 10 Invited Talks about energy harvesting in academic conferences.

  • Kai Tao, Associate Professor in School of Mechanical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. His research interest includes MEMS fabrication, micro energy harvesting and self-powered sensors.  He published around 40 papers with total citations more than 1000.

  • Weiyang Qin, Professor in School of Mechanical, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. His researches focus on mechanical vibration, rotor dynamics and energy harvesting. He has published more than 60 papers in scientific journals.

HONORARY CHAIRS

  • Daniel J. Inman, Professor, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, United States. He is a Fellow of AIAA, ASME, IIAV, SEM and AAM. He has published eight books, eight software manuals, 20 book chapters, over 375 journal papers and 650 proceedings papers, given 68 keynote or plenary lectures. His publications have received more than 42,000 citations (h-index: 84).

  • Quan Wang, Professor, Executive Vice-President of Shantou University, Shantou, China. He is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He is selected as a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, as well as a Member of the European Academy of Science.

  • Eric M. Yeatman, Professor, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, London, United Kingdom. He was awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal in 2011, and was made a Fellow of the Academy in 2012. He is also holds Fellowships of the IEEE, the IET, IOM3, and the City and Guilds Institute.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIR

  • Li-Qun Chen, Professor, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen Campus), Shenzhen, China. He is an internationally recognized researcher in the field of axially moving structures, and one of Most Cited Chinese Researchers since 2014.

'VEH2021' Introduction

       Welcome to the 3rd International Conference on Vibration and Energy Harvesting Applications (VEH 2021), which will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China on 9-12 July 2021. (The conference has been postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19)

The conference theme is the advances in the field of vibration and energy harvesting, and will provide an international platform for researchers from all over the world. Researchers can share their latest works on the development of these innovative technologies.

All innovative research ideas related to vibration analysis, energy harvesting, their applications, and results on the mechanical design, optimization, dynamics, power management circuits and systems, MEMS technology, nano technology, new materials, self-powered IoT applications, and other related areas are welcome.

Submissions to VEH 2021 can be in the form of an Abstract or Full-paper. For participating in the BEST PAPER/PRESENTATION AWARD, a full-paper submission is required. You are also welcome to attend the conference without any submission. Information on the registration procedure will be announced soon.
